 About your trainer

The Sports Massage Workshop is presented throughout South Australia by Holly Hicks. Holly is Bodyline Health International’s Founder, and her passion is firmly rooted in sports and massage therapy. Holly has practiced sports massage for over 14 years and she loves to help others improve their technique – and see the results of the work of those she has trained.

Why sports massage benefits athletes and players

Sports massage is extremely effective in assisting athletes and players’ preparation for sporting performance. If muscles become fatigued or over-trained, they become susceptible to trauma and injury. Incorporating massage into the regular training and pre or post-game routine can help to prepare and aid the recovery of muscles and soft tissues, by speeding up the healing process and decreasing the risk of serious injury.

Who is the workshop for?

The workshop is designed for club trainers and team support staff who have a direct hands-on role with the players. Parents and family members who wish to be involved are also welcome to attend. Previous experience in massage or sports medicine is not necessary.

Please be aware that this is an introductory workshop only for the purpose of good practice and improving techniques and is not an official Sports Massage qualification.
